Unbelievable! "Blogroll" Keyword 5th Position / Place on Google Search

Happy Blogging on Google's 5th position on "blogroll" keyword.

I could not believe what my statistics showed when I checked Google Webmasters, until I tried it on Google Search. I don't know when did this happened. Happy Blogging placed 5th on a single keyword and on the least expected keyword.

I don't regularly checked on my statistics. It just happened that I am cleaning my account, deleting those unnecessary websites I have included, I come across to this top queries page on Google Webmasters when I observed that the keyword was on the top of my list. I thought this was just an error on Google's system but when I checked it by searching the keyword itself, it placed 5th on the list. I am happy to see this for the first time. I really don't know I did to that page which I am hoping I know.

Pagerank 4, how did I get it?

Pagerank 4?! Wow! I was surprised when I checked this blog's pagerank one day. It was the least I expect from this blog.

How come I got such high pagerank?

I don't really know.

Perhaps, the creation date was one of the significant factors Google considers in ranking a website. I created this blog for almost 6 months now. I posted one funny interesting post entitled "Husband of the Year 2008" and added a poll for readers to participate.

Or perhaps, the sudden increase of visitors was also considered. I tested all my blog marketing techniques on this blog, though it had only 3 few posts. I contacted a lot of bloggers through tagboards and comments for exchange links and also told them about that one interesting post and its poll.

The rest of it, I don't know. Those 2 things, creation date and sudden increase in visitors, I believe made it possible to get such high pagerank.

Indexed by Google in less than 24 hours?

Is it possible to be indexed by Google in less than 24 hours? Yes, it is possible.

While I was browsing and reading some SEO articles in one of the most popular article directory in the web, Ezine Articles, I came across to this article that tells the possibility of new websites or blogs being indexed by Google within one day.

It says that to be able to do it, we only need to do one thing. And that is to anchor our link to a website that has a pagerank of 6 or more.

Upon knowing this, I was amazed how easy it is to index our newly created blogs to Google. I thought before that being indexed by Google would be done automatically by its servers since Blogger, as one of Google's services, and Google are connected. This technique was already available long before we knew, yet still few have realized.

Now, I realized how important it is for our blog to be anchored to other blogs and how necessary it is to contact other bloggers for an exchange link. Hey, not only me! Since you read it already, I bet you may have realized it also. Lucky for those blogs I have already added in my blogroll since I got pagerank 4.

Anyhow, if you haven't check yet if your blog is already indexed by Google, better do it now. All you need to do is to search blog by typing "site:{blog url}" without the quotations (example site:hapiblogging.blogspot.com).

Gotta be indexed by Google!
